Focus on the Community
Whitehall Woodworking has had a significant impact on the community around it. The woodworking shop was founded almost 10 years ago, and since then they have employed local people, trained apprentices in the craft of woodworking and even provided reduced-cost pieces for community events and charities. Whitehall is also dedicated to sustainability and ensures all their pieces are built with reclaimed and repurposed wood that would otherwise have gone to waste.
The woodworking shop sells items such as furniture, shelving, cabinets, trays, and various other products from locally sourced materials that would otherwise go unused. Over the years, Whitehall has employed more than a dozen skilled craftsmen from within the local community who bring their knowledge and share their skill sets with others through training initiatives with younger generations developing an interest in the craftmanship of woodworking. Whitehall has also been able to provide reduced-cost pieces for community events including neighborhood council meetings, block parties and charity functions directly impacting those activities in positive ways.
Whitehall Woodworking’s efforts extend beyond their work product as well; they actively participate in tree planting initiatives which are organized by local environmental organizations within their county as well as offering outreach lectures to elementary schools throughout the area on upcycling materials while emphasizing green practices when possible. Each time they complete a project or build an item made from reclaimed materials, they prove just how valuable these resources are when properly utilized – a point they make sure to emphasize at each gathering or event held.

Team Page
Whitehall Woodworking is a family-owned and operated business based in the small town of Whitehall, Pennsylvania. The team behind the company has a passion for creating beautiful and functional joinery pieces from locally sourced hardwoods. They believe in paying attention to detail and taking time to ensure perfection with each piece.
The three main members of Whitehall Woodworking are father Colton Whitehall, son Carlisle Whitehall, and daughter Deanna Whitehall. Colton has been woodworking since his childhood, having learned many techniques and honed his skills under his father’s tutelage within the family workshop.
